Mexico might take legal actions to Starbucks after it released a line of coffee mugs bearing images of the Aztec calendar stone and the Pyramid of the Moon from the ruins of Teotihuacan.

The country has intellectual property rights over those pre-Hispanic images.

The archaeological agency of Mexico said they would decide in a week whether Starbucks should pay any fines.

The distribution of the mugs has been halted until this matter is resolved.
